Common Blue Violet

These little purply-blue violets always pop up in the grass by the nearby church. They're so small and delicate you don't even see them until you're walking overtop of them. As I was sketching them, I realized how tangled and somewhat chaotic they are. I tried to capture the wildness of the stems and leaves along with the delicateness of the flowers.
